Sustainable Development

Vipe 21 believes the private sector has a great responsibility to help deliver on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Vipe 21 adopted the SDGs in 2023 when becoming a member of the Cognia Group. We have oriented our strategy towards creating shared value, and the SDGs are a natural benchmark for identifying societal impact.

We firmly believe that our knowledge and purpose give us a competitive advantage in a market that values sustainable development. While we see all 17 SDGs as relevant to Vipe 21, we have highlighted below the ones where we believe have the greatest potential for Vipe 21 to enhance positive and mitigate negative impacts on society.

The Norwegian Transparancy Act is closely linked to SDG 8 & 12. Vipe 21 and Cognia works actively to be in compliance with the Transparancy Act. You can read the annual report by following this link (in Norwegian).

We have established internal ethical guidelines and code of conduct that we continuously promote and monitor.

Our customers and strategic suppliers include important contributors to the society’s infrastructure through their operations, preparedness, and development, and supply of products and services. We contribute to further increase the preparedness capacity through our sustainable, high-quality solutions and products, optimizing asset utilisation and value creation while minimizing resource usage through embracing new technology and cost effective operating procedures.

We are conscious that the current worldwide consumption of natural resources is not sustainable. Vipe 21 therefore seeks solutions to minimize the consumption of energy and materials in our daily operations. In addition, our solutions emphasize multi-use, re-use and flexibility to minimize the number of units required and maximize each unit’s operational performance.

Vipe 21’s direct and indirect customers include government actors and institutions performing airborne medical and preparedness services. By contributing to improving  the efficiency of these front-line services, we raise the society’s overall preparedness .
